Bred in Violence was the opening band last Thursday for the Amanuensis tour stop in Springfield, Mo. They are a local metal band that rock like no other band in the local scene. Sadly, this was their last show for a while. One of their guitarists is moving home to get married, but they plan to continue on with the band once he is ready.
So, this is actually a shot from intermission. It’s Ryan Conti, rhythm guitarist for Ram, and J.D., one of their roadies. Ram was set to play a two hour show, so they had a little 15 minute break in the middle for everyone to grab a drink and chill. It’s a lot grainier than I would have liked, but there was hardly any front lighting in this shot and using flash would have ruined the mood, so I boosted the ISO up and it still turned out pretty nice.
Here’s another angle of two of the guys in NRG playing each other’s guitars. I’m not really sure which one I like more. They both have aspects that I enjoy. The other has more artistic appeal for me and this one has more journalistic appeal. I think they’re both good, but have completely different looks.
Jacob Conti of Ram from their show this past Saturday night! Just another reminder, I’ll probably only be posting once or twice a day for the next couple of days because of my computer crash. I have a friend who said he knows how to fix it, so hopefully he helps me out soon! Hopefully before Thursday! I have a biiiig show to photograph on Thursday and will need my computer the next day.
This is a shot from NRG. A band that performed with Ram on Saturday evening at a new, local venue that’s a part of a coffee shop. For not only a new venue, but a new venue that’s in a coffee shop, they had fantastic lighting. At least for NRG, for some reason they turned off a lot of the lights for Ram. I really don’t understand why, but they did and there’s not much I can do about it. But, I’m working on a borrowed computer so I’ll only be posting once or twice a day. My computer crashed and I’m working on getting it fixed.
So, this shot of Craig Owens (imonlyahobo) of chiodos turned out quite noisy! But, I do think the noise works with the overall feel of the piece. It almost looks like it was taken with an old film camera. It has a pretty cool look to me.
Sharing another old shot from the portfolio. I’ll have brand new content this Sunday and then again by next Friday. Then, I have a photo shoot with a couple for their one year anniversary. I might share photos from that next Sunday.
